axial roof, horizontal exhaust
DWR EX are explosion-proof axial roof fans. The fans of the DWR EX series meet the requirements of the EU ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU regarding devices intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Zone designation:
Z1 – zone in which a mixture of gases, vapors or mists may occur under normal operating conditions.
Z2 – zone where there is a low probability of an explosive mixture of gases, vapors or mists, where the explosive mixture may occur only for a short time.
Z22 – a zone where there is a low probability of an explosive dust mixture and there is a short time, e.g. during a breakdown.
DWR EX is a series of roof fans with vertical air discharge, characterized by high air efficiency and relatively low noise emission. They are mainly used in production and storage halls where there is a risk of explosion, e.g. paint shops, refineries, solvent production halls; varnish warehouses, etc. DWR EX series fans are dedicated to hybrid ventilation, i.e. after they are switched off, they work as gravity ventilators, thanks to which they are also commonly used to support ventilation in places where air pollution with explosive gases occurs periodically, e.g. pouring paint or filling gas cylinders.
DWR EX series fans are equipped with axial impellers. The fan dome combines two functions: rain cover and air exhaust. Fans are normally used as exhaust fans, then the air is thrown vertically upwards. The user can also turn the fan module on site and change the flow direction as supply air. In addition, it is possible to order a typical air supply system with an additional rain cover (then the air is sucked in from the bottom instead of the top). The fans are equipped with a three-phase explosion-proof motor, not suitable for speed regulation. Fans with the possibility of speed control with an inverter are available on special request.
