PFPK EX are explosion-proof side-chamber fans. The PFPK EX series fans meet the requirements of the EU ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU on devices intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
Zone designation:
Z1 – zone in which a mixture of gases, vapors or mists may occur under normal operating conditions.
Z2 – zone where there is a low probability of an explosive mixture of gases, vapors or mists, where the explosive mixture may occur only for a short time.
Z22 – a zone where there is a low probability of an explosive dust mixture and there is a short time, e.g. during a breakdown.
PFPK EX fans are used in many technological facilities of the chemical industry where there is a risk of gas explosion. PFPK EX fans are used e.g. in laboratories, paint shops, gas stations. The fan housing is made of acid-resistant steel, thanks to which it can also be used in facilities with increased chemical aggressiveness, e.g. sewage treatment plants.
Fans designed for duct mounting. The fan is equipped with a round inlet ended with a mounting flange and a rectangular outlet frame. At the customer’s special request, it is possible to make round reducers for SPR ducts. Impeller and fan housing made of stainless steel. The fan impeller has backward curved blades, thanks to which it is characterized by high efficiency and resistance to contamination. The housing is additionally covered with a special anti-static coating. The fans are equipped with an explosion-proof motor with a three-phase power supply dedicated to zone 1 (2G) installed outside the medium line. The fan is not suitable for speed regulation. The fan with the possibility of adjusting the speed with an inverter is available on special request.
